This kit is designed for the newer Freightliner Cascadia body style starting in 2018. While it might be adapted to older body styles, we have not tried it.
No, purple is not available. Purple LEDs aren't really purple. They're ultra-violet and as such, not very bright which is why you won't find real purple LEDs available. The RGB multi-color version of the kit (the most common) offers the flexibility to select a wide range of colors using the included LED controller so you don't have to select just one color but the closest you'll get to purple is a 'hot purple' which has more red in it.
