Yes it will work. In fact, if you look at our installation instructions (you can download them directly from the product page) you'll see this is precisely what we recommend for Under-Glow installations. We always recommend pulling the power directly from the house batteries vs taping into the RV's electrical system somewhere else. It's safer for sure. And, with under-glow installations, it's often easier to do since the house batteries can usually be accessed from the bottom of the RV without much difficultly. Awning lights are a little different and almost always require drilling into the RV. Either way, we highly suggest downloading and reading the installation manual before doing anything though. We cover this issue and more which are important to know before starting the installation.
