All installation scenarios are a littler different. So how you attach the channel depends on the application. We will either rivet the channel down or use 3m vhb tape w/3M adhesion primer. The key is not to use a fastening system that protrudes inside the channel area. The LED strip needs to have a smooth flat surface to mount to. It can't be installed on top of a bolt or xxxx head as that xxxx head will eventually damage the LED strip. The diffuser will snap into the channel. Some take more force than others but it will absolutely snap in place securely. We do it all the time. We also use some Lexel to seal the ends.
